Version 4.5.3 Platform Updates
🌍 08/06/26 - Your subscribers stopped being a US-only list today.
We've been teasing this one for two releases. It's here. TxtCart now sends SMS to 14 new countries across Europe, on top of the US, Canada, UK, and Australia we've always supported. Every country ships with the local compliance framework already built in, so you're not the one figuring out what ePrivacy means for a Berlin subscriber at 11pm.
If you've been sitting on international traffic you couldn't message, or capping list growth at your borders because your SMS platform couldn't follow your customers, that ceiling is gone.
Updates:
Feature Launch: International SMS
Head to Settings → Messaging and click Add a country. Pick where your subscribers actually are, and TxtCart handles number provisioning, carrier registration, and the local regulatory setup for you.
Live today: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden, each running under GDPR and ePrivacy, with Norway also covered under its Marketing Control Act. The United Kingdom is now managed the same way under UK GDPR and PECR.
The US (TCPA), Canada (CASL), and Australia (Spam Act 2003) stay verified on your account with no additional setup required.
Only pay for the countries you actually send to
Compliance in Europe is not one thing. Each country has its own regulator, its own sender registration process, and its own carrier requirements, and those costs vary widely between them.
So we're not bundling it into a flat international fee and hoping the average works out. You add the countries where your subscribers live, you pay the real cost of staying compliant there, and you skip the rest. Each country's monthly compliance fee is shown next to it in the Add a country menu before you commit, and if you remove a country the fee comes off your bill.
A few countries need lead time
Most countries turn on immediately. Three require carrier or regulator approval before your first send:
Belgium: ready in ~5 days
Italy: ready in ~7 days
Germany: ready in ~30 days
Add them now and we'll start the clock. You'll get a notification the moment they go live.
💡 Pro tip: Check your existing subscriber list before you add anything. If you've been collecting numbers through a popup on a store that ships internationally, you almost certainly already have EU subscribers sitting in your account who have never received a message from you. Those are subscribers you already paid to acquire. Turning on their country is the cheapest revenue you'll find this quarter.
Other Platform Updates
Country-aware compliance: Opt-in language, unsubscribe handling, and quiet hours now follow the rules of the subscriber's country, not your store's.
Per-country visibility: Your messaging settings show every active country, its framework, and its status in one view.
